Indian real estate, explained properly.

How property is bought, rented, sold and financed in India — and how the businesses in between actually work. Written by someone who has spent eighteen years inside the industry, for anyone trying to understand it. Every figure sourced. No listings. No leads. Nothing for sale.

How this site works

Every figure carries a source and the date it was verified. Fact, interpretation and opinion are labelled separately and never blended. Where something could not be confirmed, the page says so instead of guessing — most articles carry a “what we could not confirm” section.

If a number here is wrong, write in and it will be corrected publicly, with the correction dated. A broken number is worse than no number.

  • No listings. You cannot find a property here.
  • No leads. Your details are not collected for sale or passed to anyone.
  • Nothing for sale. No course, no consultation, no affiliate links.
  • No opinions dressed as facts. If it is a judgement call, it says so.

Who writes this

Mithun Srivastava. Eighteen years at Info Edge (India) Limited — the company behind 99acres.com — working in the Indian property market. Real estate is not only the job; it is the thing worth explaining properly. This is a personal site: the views are his own, no employer data is used anywhere on it, and it is not an official communication of any company. More about the site and how it is written →
